Before i die....
Stumbled across this really rad website and a really rad concept of imaginative public illustration….involving a chalkboard painted across the side of an abandoned building enabling all walks of life to write out their aspirations before they die. Love this kinda common-unity type stuff.

Wear this ridiculously comfortable AA track t-shirt, and provide a window of hope to the abused women and children supported by the Interval House.
Awesome t-shirt designed for the Yellow Bird Project featuring artist Bon Iver - one of my favourite musicians who has inspired me alot.

the daffodils;or,i wandered….lonely as a cloud.
As a child, every week i would head a few streets away from my house and head into the imaginative world of poetry and drama. Thinking back now, i am beyond thankful for the 9 years i spent in those classes. This is a poem i remember reciting for an exam when i was probably about 12. Still love it. Wordsworth is a great romantic poet along with Coleridge. Check em out.
THE DAFFODILS; OR, I WANDERED LONELY AS A CLOUD
by: William Wordsworth (1770-1850)
-
WANDERED lonely as a cloud - That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
- When all at once I saw a crowd,
- A host, of golden daffodils;
- Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
- Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
- Continuous as the stars that shine
- And twinkle on the milky way,
- They stretched in never-ending line
- Along the margin of the bay:
- Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
- Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
- The waves beside them danced; but they
- Out-did the sparkling waves in glee
- A poet could not but be gay,
- In such a jocund company
- I gazed — and gazed — but little thought
- What wealth the show to me had brought:
- For oft, when on my couch I lie
- In vacant or in pensive mood,
- They flash upon that inward eye
- Which is the bliss of solitude;
- And then my heart with pleasure fills,
- And dances with the daffodils.

Bon Iver - Re: Stacks
This entire album, For Emma Forever Ago remains one of my favourite albums.
It captures a vulnerable essence of beauty, recorded in the deep woods in a cabin with an 8 track recorded and a mind, heart, body and soul. Gosh i’d love to do that one way.
Such a beautiful song. You know when some songs just kinda reach in and swell your heart and right then and there.

Jeff Buckley - Lover you should've come over live in 1995
This song sends chills up my spine.
So much of Jeff Buckley’s material is just so inspiring to me. I feel saddened on many occasions that he died so young with so so much abundant talent. His voice is honestly like no other. So beautiful.
I was honoured to have visited some of the venues in NYC that he played out on getting noticed by labels before being discovered - gosh whoever was present at those shows i am envious of!

Thought i’d post the article on here for you lazy ones…..get informed!
So.
Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) rebel leader Joseph Kony is thought to be hiding in the Central African Republic after Ugandan People’s Defense Force (UPDF) officials received word that his army had been looting food in the Eastern region of Hout-Mbomou. Constant pursuit of the LRA has left them little time to regroup and strengthen, UPDF Chief General Aronda Nyakairima said.
Days following a massive troop reduction of United Nations (UN) peacekeepers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the DRC Country Director for the UN Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Max Hadorn, has deemed security to be the unstable country’s primary issue. The Eastern region of the DRC has seen an influx of LRA-related violence in recent months, with nearly 600 people being abducted and killed this year alone. Alan Doss, head of the UN mission to the DRC, notes that the LRA is currently one of their biggest concerns. Doss was quick to highlight the importance of domestic support in regards to regional development, stating that the UN “can push out an armed group but if the state doesn’t come in with police, justice, roads, schools, then it won’t make a big difference.”
Victims of the LRA insurgency in Northern Ugandan could be receiving financial compensation from the government of Uganda. Ahead of the Presidential and Parliamentary elections being held next February, the Museveni administration has promised to compensate about 10,000 of the LRA’s severely maimed victims.
Invisible Children is an amazing organisation that is committed to urgently fight for something more than our own comfort.
